Members Terms and Agreements

The following document states the Terms and Conditions of registration as a Member of
the Gokai Kendo Club.All applicants must read and accept the following conditions in order
to be eligible for Membership into Gokai Kendo Club.


MEMBERS

GOKAI KENDO CLUB welcomes all individuals regardless of gender, age, or race to train with
the club, although GOKAI KENDO CLUB reserves the right to refuse membership or entry into
Kendo Practice sessions and events

Only registered members of the GOKAI KENDO CLUB may participate or represent the GOKAI
KENDO CLUB in any event in which the Club may be involved

All members must know and abide by the constitution and rules of GOKAI KENDO CLUB.

All members must conduct themselves properly in the good name of GOKAI KENDO CLUB.

Every member shall pledge and swear not to make use of knowledge gained in Kendo to
purposely hurt another or abuse their knowledge of Kendo.

All members have the right to be informed of and participate in all activities of GOKAI
KENDO CLUB except for when the Executive Committee believes that it will endanger the
security and prestige of GOKAI KENDO CLUB.


SUSPENSION

GOKAI KENDO CLUB Executive Committee reserves the right to suspend the membership of
any registered member who is determined to be inactive for more than three (3) months

Any member who breaches the Constitution, rules and regulations of GOKAI KENDO may
receive suspension and/or fine upon the decision of the Executive Committee during a
hearing for the accused party

Any member who wishes to contest or appeal the suspension may do so in writing and will
be discussed by the Executive Committee during an Executive Committee Meeting


EXPULSION

The Executive Committee has the power to dismiss those members who have continuously
violated The Constitution, rules and regulations of GOKAI KENDO CLUB.

Any member whose conduct, in the opinion of the Executive Committee is prejudicial to the
general interests of GOKAI KENDO CLUB shall be called to resign, after a full investigation
has been made. If found guilty of charges, the registered member will immediately be
suspended pending their appeal. If no appeal is made within fourteen (14) days after the
charges have been made, then the Executive Committee will consider the member forfeited,
and will officially expel the member from the GOKAI KENDO CLUB

Any expelled member shall forfeit all fees and GOKAI KENDO CLUB has the right to file
such claims against the said member or person to protect GOKAI KENDO CLUB’s interests

Any expelled member may be re-accepted pending decison from the Executive Committee
but may not be elected to any Executive Committee posts
